Mountain bike trails from the gîtes
Lac du Salagou is an exceptional site for mountain biking, and the tour of the most beautiful lake in the south of France will not disappoint. Mountain biking at Salagou is more than pleasant and suitable for all levels, with trails accessible to beginners and advanced riders alike. The site used to host the SFR raid, bringing in over 3,000 mountain bikers.
Close to the gîtes, you'll find 16 official mountain bike circuits with 260km of marked trails from Lodève to Clermont l'Hérault, passing through all the surrounding villages*. Our gîtes are located on circuit n°9: "Le Puech", which is 30km long. From the gîtes, you can also take circuit n°1, which is 27km long + 4km to reach it.

Mountain bike circuit n°1 - Le Puech
Away from Lac du Salagou, the exuberance of the red rock never ceases to amaze. Constructed entirely of sandstone, the colorful village of Le Puech also benefits from a resource of hot underground water used for farming (numerous greenhouses can be seen below). Most of the mountain bike route takes you through a succession of canyons, at the bottom of which flow intermittent streams known as oueds. Center of Le Puech, wild prospects.
MTB route no. 9 - Lac du Salagou
This tour of the most beautiful lake in the South of France won't disappoint! Welcome to the arid, fantastically red slopes of a valley flooded over 700 hectares by clean, fish-filled waters. This long loop will give you the opportunity to repeatedly embrace dry, luminous Mediterranean landscapes, which contrast here with the ever-close aquatic spaces... Mountain bike rental and maintenance
RDV cycles & connect is located in the Leclerc shopping center, 5 minutes from the gîtes. It offers low-cost maintenance packages and electric mountain bike rental on site, with delivery to the gîtes for rentals of 3 or more.
Prices range from €40 to €55 for a half or full day, and €205 for a 6-day week.
